The beginning

My grandfather started Jenkins blacksmithing in 1976, and he began creating hand-forged pieces for most of southern Louisiana. He has become unable to blacksmith due to his age, but I have taken over the business. My grandfather was a very talented blacksmith, but I have found my knack for making knives.

Now

At my day job, I’m a field service representative in an oil refinery here in Louisiana, but blacksmithing has always been my true passion. With the support of my wife, Brie, I run Jenkins Blacksmithing and strive to produce the highest-quality hand-forged work I can. We also welcomed our daughter recently, which has only deepened my appreciation for the craft and the legacy behind it.

I make high-end knives completely from scratch and never from premade parts. Every piece is meticulously fitted and shaped. Each knife comes with complimentary sharpening and a care card to ensure the longevity of your product.

I also do ornamental metalwork and bush hog blade sharpening for local clients.
My hope is to make this my full-time work one day, and we’re taking steady steps toward that. I’m grateful for every person who has supported Jenkins Blacksmithing
